Terms of Service

Last Updated: March 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and utilizing the SnapZoom Chrome Extension, you automatically agree to abide by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these conditions, do not download or use the extension.

2. Chrome Extension Usage

SnapZoom provides a sophisticated tool for browser tab recording and automatic cinematic zoom effects. You are solely responsible for all content recorded.
  • You must not utilize SnapZoom for explicit, illegal, or unauthorized purposes.
  • You must not violate any regional laws, especially concerning copyright or dual-party consent for recording.
  • You are responsible for obtaining necessary permissions before recording content created by others on the web.

3. Premium Licensing (Dodo Payments)

SnapZoom offers a free basic plan and an optional "Pro Lifetime" plan.
  • Payments for our one-time "Pro Lifetime" license are securely handled by Dodo Payments, acting as our merchant of record.
  • A valid `snapzoom_license_key` unlocks premium features such as 1080p Full HD exports and custom watermarks.
  • You may not share or resell your assigned license key. We reserve the right to revoke keys that exhibit suspicious usage patterns (e.g., mass activation across multiple IPs).
  • Due to the nature of digital goods and immediate fulfillment, refunds are handled on a strict case-by-case basis through support.

4. Ownership & Intellectual Property

You retain 100% full ownership over the video files you create. The proprietary auto-zoom tracking code, extension client architecture, and overall brand elements ("SnapZoom") remain our protected intellectual property.

5. Limitation of Liability

As a client-side application heavily dependent on your computer's resources, SnapZoom is provided "as is" without warranty. Under no circumstances will SnapZoom be liable for corrupted video files, lost tab data, software conflicts with Chrome, or other technical limitations of the web platform.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the authority to update these terms to align with changes in browser capabilities, payment processing features, or legal compliance.
